Ever heard of "practice makes perfect?" Someone once taught me to shift that mindset to "practice makes better." (Takes the pressure off a bit, don't you think?) That is exactly what homework is for...practicing the skills we're working on in class to get better and better at them!

 

Homework is assigned every night, Monday through Thursday, with assignments due the following day.

 

Homework is also an excellent time to exercise responsibility. For daily homework, assignments will be posted on our Homework Board in class and students will record these assignments in their notebooks each day. I will also post the assignments in the grid below. 
 

If a student is unable to complete a homework assignment:

• Please bring in a note signed by a parent and bring the completed work the next day.

• If you do not have a note, homework will be completed at morning recess with the teacher. 

Fourth grade is all about building strong homework habits. Good homework routines = smooth sailing!
